Local Missions: ATL – Tuesday – 3.27.18

The cold continued today as we headed into Atlanta for Day 2 of missions! Today we served by sorting books in a warehouse for an organization called Books For Africa. They provide millions of books to all ages, from kindergarten to college level. It was a great reminder how we often forget to appreciate the privilege of having such incredible knowledge at our fingertips every day, whereas some are forbidden or restricting from obtaining that knowledge. After sorting, labeling, and packaging in the cold temperatures, we left for a lunch of leisure and warmth at a shopping center on Cobb Parkway. Some went for pizza, some went for sandwiches, and quite a few left with Starbucks frappuccinos in their hands! We had such a blessed day serving the community, also celebrating Rylee Greaves’ birthday (Happy Birthday, Rylee!). Looking forward to further serving tomorrow and continuing to be grateful with what the Lord has blessed us with!
