London – Wednesday – 3.28.18

The last day of this spring term trip to London proved to be a definite success. It was the last finishing touch to the grand master piece of an experience that we all will never forget. It was a pretty chill day, to be honest, but that felt right because it gave us time to really step back and soak in the grand surroundings that make up London. We did this through a boat ride, a Shakespeare tour, and enjoying our last famous Ben’s cookies.

My name is Katelyn McLendon and I’m a NCCS senior. I joined the school last year for my junior year so I don’t have many spring term trips to compare London to, but I can say that I really really couldn’t have imagined any trip more perfect for me. In reflecting on this trip in general, I’m so thankful to my teachers that they all were so kind and tried their best to make this trip the best for us. I am especially grateful to Mrs. Cook who put together this itinerary and knew all the hottest spots in London to hit.

I will miss all that spring term trip opportunities have to offer. Spring terms are full of growth, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences. As a senior, these are all things in this area of my life that I will have to say goodbye to. However, I know that when life moves on after graduation that even though we will no longer be going to a school quite like NCCS, that is so inundated with a Christ-based faculty with trip opportunities such as London, that He will guide us to have even bigger and brighter experiences. This trip was definitely a great one. There’s no doubt about that. But I can say that he has great plans for not only me, but all of us. He has an original and specially unique path plan for us if we choose to walk it, filled with many more amazing trips to experience God through. It’s been such a great week—that’s a wrap!!
