Jordan Michael Houston or famously known as “Juicy J” is an American rap artist, songwriter, record executive, and record producer.
He was born on April 5, 1975, in North Memphis, Tennessee, United States. He has one brother, Patrick Earl Houston who is known by his stage name “Project Pat” and is also a successful rap artist.
In his younger years, Jordan was passionate in reading essays and books about the music industry, at the same time carefully learning about the industry’s royalties, publishing, and marketing.
He had his high school education at North Side High School. During his high school life, he met his fellow rap artist Al Bell, who was then a brief co-owner of a record label called Stax Records. While Jordan was in his 11th grade, he already made the song “Slob on My Knob”.

Career Debut
His career started in 1991, where he co-founded the Southern Hip Hop group called the “Three 6 Mafia”. It was a group with notable rap artists and DJs, like Lord Infamous, DJ Paul, Koopsta Knicca, Gangsta Boo, and Crunchy Black.
Together with DJ Paul, they created and established an independent record label called “Prophet Entertainment”, located in Memphis, Tennessee.
Later in 1994, the duo left their record label to a friend and business partner Nick ‘Scarfo’ Jackson, where afterward, they established another record label called “Hypnotize Minds”.

In 1995, the Three 6 Mafia group released their first official album “Mystic Stylez”, following then, the group released a total of 8 albums.
Jordan also ventured into his solo act when he released his solo debut album “Chronicles of the Juice Man” in 2002, under the record label, North North Records. He released his second album in 2009 called “Hustle Till I Die” under Select-O-Hits and Hypnotize Minds.
It was from 2009 to 2011, when Jordan left the group to focus on his career. During this time he released his solo albums while collaborating with rap artist Wiz Khalifa, with appearances in his mixtapes.

Following that year in 2013, one of his singles in his third album “Bounce It” was also a success, ranking 4th in the Billboard 200 and has sold 64,000 copies in its sales on the first week, in the United States.
It was a continuous release of hit singles for Jordan, he also collaborated with other notable artists like Katy Perry in her single ‘Dark Horse’, Nicki Minaj, Young Thug and Lil Bibby in their collab single ‘Low’ and Wiz Khalifa in a song ‘For Everybody’.
In 2018 and 2019, Jordan released his standalone singles called “Neighbor”, “Let Me See” and “Three-Point Stance”.
